Flame Pharma is working with one of the world’s leading CROs in recruiting a Global Clinical Development Director to build and maintain an effective operational organisation, for the global success of worldwide projects. With a portfolio of clinical trials covering over 20 therapeutic areas, and being involved in some of the largest clinical studies across the globe, our client certainly has the global scope and challenge for the right candidate. 

The Role

The Global Clinical Development Director will have a strong track record in the Clinical Research or Pharmaceutical sectors and will be accountable for the successful execution of all projects and assisting in the development of strategies for project execution, pricing and bid defences.  The Global Clinical Development Director is accountable for building and maintaining an organisation which meets the needs of the company and its customers and for ensuring direct reports deliver against the budget, timeline, quality and customer satisfaction.  The Global Clinical Development Director takes an active part in New Business Development, this may include: identifying target customers; establishing new customer relationships; maintaining existing customer relationships; identifying market trends and opportunities; generating business and project leads; whilst managing public relations and attending exhibitions and conferences.

The Person

The Global Clinical Development Director will have a strong track record in the Clinical Research or Pharmaceutical sectors.  You will be degree level educated (or equivalent) with extensive experience at a senior level including clinical research management experience and knowledge of clinical research management processes, with experience of managing teams of clinical research staff essential. Additional attributes needed for this role include; personnel management, customer management, financial management, project management, sales, communication and exceptional interpersonal skills
