Job Summary

As an experienced Clinical Project Manager within the Clinical Research or Pharmaceutical sector, you will have already gained valuable clinical experience within one or more therapeutic areas within any of the phases of the clinical research process.  As a clinical project manager, you may be looking to expand your skills within a particular therapeutic area, or expand your experience within a particular phase, or even expand into different countries.

Clinical Project Manager

Background

Due to expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Clinical Project Manager to coordinate and manage the activities of clinical management studies in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that costs are kept under control.  You will also manage clinical research associates and other associated clinical staff within your clinical project management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all staff under his/her jurisdiction (or assist in staff management as appropriate).
• Manage clinical projects in a timely manner in adherence with COMPANY SOPs and appropriate regulations and to liaise with other department managers as necessary to achieve this.
• Keep individual clinical project costs under control.
• Monitor the quality specification within the clinical project.
• Liaise with clients on clinical project related matters.
• Ensure all necessary training is provided to his/her staff to improve their job performance and knowledge.  Maintain documentation of training as appropriate.
• Keep senior clinical management informed of clinical project status in relation to both quality, timelines and staff issues.
• Liaise with other clinical managers to improve the effectiveness of the organisation.
• Maintain confidentiality of clinical management information as appropriate.
• Participate in business development activities as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a senior clinical research associate, lead clinical research associate or clinical project manager.
• Degree educated.
• Ability to liaise successfully with clients.
• Good understanding of project management processes.
• Highly developed problem solving skills.
• Strong people management and effective communication skills.
• Current full driving licence.
