Salary up to £28,500

Flame Pharma is working alongside a leading Clinical Research Organisation to appoint an enthusiastic caring and dedicated individual to take on the interesting, challenging and rewarding role of Fertility Nurse. Due to expansion, this new and exciting opportunity will enable this established, organisation to maintain their unwavering focus on contributing to the development of important therapies. This role will require the candidate to ensure the best possible care and assistance is given to all patients undergoing assisted conception at the clinic in accordance with the philosophy of the clinic.

The Role

As a Fertility Nurse reporting to the Head of Nursing, you will assist the day to day management of clinical activity within this supportive sanctuary, ensuring appropriate input to patient’s treatment and support the assisted conception unit nursing function in the achievements of objectives. You will become conversant with and adhere to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority Code of Practice. Functionally you will develop a good understanding of issues facing patients undergoing fertility treatment and the role of the practitioner during these treatments. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining full registration with NMC.

The Person

You will be a fully NMC registered General Nurse with extensive proven post registration experience together with an interest in the field of Women’s Health. Basic Life Support skills are essential as is the willingness to learn new skills whilst Advanced Life Support skills are desirable. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of knowledge to work within this company who attain unrivalled expertise and to possess good organisational skills, be an excellent team player to work within this first class environment and have a flexible approach to work. The ability to perform venepuncture and ECGs is essential, as is the ability to work within a structured business environment with strict regulatory control. The ideal Fertility Nurse will possess a caring expertise, be highly motivated and enthusiastic, have a passionate and professional flair to succeed at the highest standards of care. A full clean driving licence is required and ownership of transport is essential.
