Flame Pharma Medical Affairs Job – Medical Development Manager Job – West London

This strategic opportunity will be working for one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical organisations with an exciting portfolio, including neurosciences.  The Medical Development Manager will write UK Health and Clinical Excellence product development plans for therapeutic area and ensure continuous improvement of plans.  You will Develop and maintain a strong network of medical opinion leaders in order to understand best clinical practice of the development product and ensure alignment with opinion leaders throughout Health Technology Application (HTA) and Market Access activities.

The Role

The Medical Development Manager will identify studies required in addition to Clinical Development Plans (CDP) to attain positive HTA outcome.  You will have contact with the GPTL committee to shape CDP for new global marketing products / indications for next generation of drugs, plus contact with NICE / SMC personnel with regard to clinical requirements of submission.  The Medical Development Manager will have contact with Government personnel with regard to Health Policy for therapeutic areas e.g. Government ‘Tzars’ and external experts / advocates with regard to input to Health Technology submissions, plus Patient Groups.  You will have ownership of medical part of Health Technology submission dossier, and have input to Health and Clinical Excellence advisory boards.  Working in close collaboration with local Business Unit to identify Health Technology plans to meet business strategy, you will comply with all UK regulatory guidelines and company SOPs in relation to the 2006 ABPI Code of Practice, MHRA and all other authorities

The Person

You will be medically qualified, with full GMC registration essential. Proven experience within the pharmaceutical sector is also required, along with GCP and clinical research skills.  Previous people management within a similar role (ie medical advisor, medical director or associate medical director) is desirable.
