Flame Pharma are working alongside a leading Full Service Scientific research organization to recruit an Associate Director with proven Market Research experience together with an in depth understanding of all sectors of the healthcare market to contribute as a key member to achieve the ambitious growth plans of the company.

The Role:

Reporting to the Research Director you will assign teams for every project and monitor on a day to day basis, resources for live projects, supplementing / modifying and generally acting in the role of trouble-shooter to ensure smooth progress of all projects. You will define the optimum processes and tools to run projects and ensure that this is communicated to the team to promote effective implementation.

As an Associate Director, you will help to win proposals by effective management of all suppliers (internal and external) and by vetting and managing costs. In terms of projects you will take an overview of the management of all live projects and monitor progress of proposals to foresee and plan workload levels.

You will communicate regularly with the Research Director to ensure both parties have a holistic understanding of resource needs. In addition, you will line manage Office and Field managers and any Research Assistants planning their career development, and identifying training needs alongside recruitment and retention strategy.

The Person

You will ideally have proven experience within the Pharmaceutical industry. Quantitative experience is essential and qualitative experience would be beneficial. Ideally you will come from an Agency or Client background and branding experience would be a distinct advantage. Ad hoc consumer research experience is also required. You will have the skills and confidence to be able to add real insight and added value at de-briefs. The company undertakes a large number of multi-country studies so international as well as UK experience would be desirable.
