Our client, a medium sized international Drug Development organisation is looking for a Business Support Scientist (Quotation Specialist) to join their Pharmaceutical Development Services team in Wiltshire.

Business Support Scientist (Quotation Specialist)

Background

The Business Support Scientist works within Project Management to co-ordinate proposals and fee analysis, liaise with clients, senior management, operational and business development teams in preparing cost build ups and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• To review Request for Proposal (RFP/TAQ) information provided by clients to ensure adequate information has been received to be able to prepare project proposals and to liaise with operational and business development teams as appropriate.
• Co-ordinating and participating in client discussions for proposal preparation and follow up.
• To take full responsibility for the production of budgetary and technical information and to ensure that the appropriate review and authorisation has been made from senior management.
• To ensure that proposal information is recorded on the Quotation Tracking Systems and Sales Order Register (SOR).
• Co-ordinating the hand over of the proposal information with technical contacts & project management for all awarded projects.
• Satisfactorily completes all cGMP and safety training in conformance with the Departmental and Site requirements.
• Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGMP and all other regulatory agency requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Science Degree.
• A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Numerate and computer literate. (e.g. Word, Excel, Project).
• Confident at working to deadlines and under pressure.
