Flame Pharma is now working with one of the world’s leaders in providing analytical services, drug development and research services. We are recruiting for a NMR Senior Analyst for their laboratory in Northern Ireland to provide a reliable, efficient NMR service across all of their local laboratories

Key aspects of the NMR Senior Analyst opportunity:

• Provide a reliable, efficient NMR service for company sites (including service, maintenance and troubleshooting ensuring appropriate cGMP compliance of Spectrometer(s)) according to appropriate written company policies and procedures
• Routinely provide advice to NMR users on available experiments and interpret spectra as required
• Design, perform and write up NMR experiments for users in a timely manner
• Retain an up to date knowledge of advancement in NMR instrumentation and techniques and champion the use of suitable new technology e.g. Solid State NMR, LC-NMR
• Perform daily NMR laboratory and sample compartment temperature checks NMR weekly performance checks, Gradshim optimisations, Simplex shim calibration, Pulse calibrations during PM/PV Write/Update SAMs, AOIs, SOPs as required
• Performing PM/PV of NMR instruments
• Creating NMR Nitrogen/Helium fill rotas and performing Nitrogen/Helium fills
• Ensure all analyses and procedures are performed in accordance with company written quality procedures and policies and where appropriate satisfy cGMP requirements

Key requirements of the NMR Senior Analyst opportunity:

• Degree in analytical sciences, chemistry or equivalent
• Previous analytical experience within industry (i.e. pharmaceuticals/fine chemistry)
• Experience in the provision of a NMR service to organic chemists
• Ability to design and interpret data from advanced NMR experiments
