Flame Pharma is working alongside an innovative Contract organisation that provides a full range of drug safety monitoring services to the pharmaceutical  industry to appoint a Pharmacovigilance Executive to join their highly skilled, experienced and dedicated team in their stimulating and flexible working environment, in their modern facilities in Oxfordshire.

The Role

You will be responsible for the documentation and processing of reports of adverse drug reactions and for reporting any adverse drug reactions to EEA competent authorities. You will be required to complete routine searches and evaluate published medical and scientific literature for identification of drug safety data. It will be your responsibility to liaise with clients regarding their requirements for the handling of adverse reactions. In addition, you will be responsible for the compliance of the systems for reporting adverse reaction on behalf of clients.

The Person

You will possess a Degree in Pharmacy or a Medical discipline together with the experience and understanding of disease states and therapeutics. An excellent understanding of medical terminology is essential as is proven experience in the interpretation of medical and scientific literature and in searching medical literature databases (PubMed). You must have a basic understanding of GMP Quality Management Systems and working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

You must have excellent written and verbal communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a number of different clients according to their various requirements. You must have a sound knowledge of the rules governing medicinal products in the EEA, including the legislation governing the Pharmacovigilance requirements and be well organised, efficient and self-motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines within a small company environment.
