Flame Pharma is working alongside a global professional service company providing clients with expert solutions for the development of therapeutic products. With services including Consulting, Development expertise, Regulatory submission management and Safety pharmacovigilance, they are looking to expand their medical affairs specialism in acquiring a Pharmacovigilance Scientist within the Buckinghamshire area.

The Role

As a Pharmacovigilance Scientist you will ensure the provision of appropriate pharmacovigilance advice to clients and colleagues and ensure pharmacovigilance activities within the company are carried out in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. You will contribute to the development of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures and Guidance Notes for company and clients whilst following Standard Operating Procedures (according to the needs of the project). Support will be given to other members of the pharmacovigilance team as required.

You will have responsibility of writing periodic reports as required (PSURs, ASRs) as well as processing and reviewing adverse event information utilising the product safety database. As Pharmacovigilance Scientist you will review any potential issues or areas of concern regarding procedures and ensure that these are highlighted to the Pharmacovigilance Manager and if appropriate, the client. You will produce project specific process guidelines and work with clients to devise, produce and maintain working procedures to ensure Pharmacovigilance regulatory compliance. Suitable candidates will be expected to devise and produce literature search strategies and review literature.

The Person:

You will be educated to Bachelor Science degree level or experienced and qualified in a healthcare profession and have good working knowledge of EU Pharmacovigilance alongside extensive and varied experience in writing PSUR’s. You will have the ability to work to tight schedules within specified timelines. You will have excellent communication, organisation and written skills alongside proficiency in MS Office.
