Flame Pharma is working alongside a global nutritional organisation (a subsidiary of a multi billion dollar consumer products company) on an exclusive Regulatory opportunity for their European operations expansion plans. With product sales reaching over $2bn in 90 countries, our client is a global giant in pet nutrition. We are recruiting an experienced Regulatory Affairs Manager for their offices in Europe to be ideally based in the Czech Republic, Netherlands or Belgium. This highly technical and hands on role will provide direction to EMEA and CEE technical regulatory activities relating to certification, authorisations and registrations. Over time, this role can develop into an Associate Director, Regulatory Affairs taking further responsibility for regulatory teams.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in pet food related legislation, and certification through training, self study and regular contacts within the industry and with official instances.
  • Provide and approve technical regulatory label copy for all products of company EMEA & CEE.
  • Provide support to the logistics department in relation to documents needed for export and import of
  • company pet products.
  • Represent company Pet Nutrition at meetings of the national trade association and FEDIAF where appropriate.
  • Represent company at meetings/conferences of the trade association and official and instances.
  • Provide support and advice in relation to complaints handling
  • Deliver professional support to Marketing and Sales in order to make the strongest defendable claims.
  • Acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge about company products
  • Provide timely feed back on regulatory issues to European & Global legal & regulatory affairs and marketing 
  • Contribute to technical dossiers for product registrations in new markets where applicable

    The Person

    You must have proven regulatory experience within the pet nutrition, or food industries and have responsibility on a European scale. Educated to degree level, you will have high technical knowledge in relation to European legislations and regulations in relation to this sector. English language is essential, with a further European language highly desirable
