Job Summary

Our client are looking to recruit a Product Specialist / Therapeutic Specialist to be based in their offices in Belgium. The successful candidate will utilise a level of product and therapeutic disease working knowledge to promote the appropriate use of our client’s products to healthcare professionals. Prepares business plan for own territory, assigns targets and communicates required actions to achieve goals. With guidance, the Product Specialist / Therapeutic Specialist initiates systems to monitor sales progress and action plans. Prepares territory budgets for customer contacts, unrestricted educational grants, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenditures. May work in collaboration with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services. May represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events. They will work cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing and other internal team members on various cross-functional projects related to specific accounts or physicians. You will build and extend business relationships with key customers or accounts, assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, and communicates proactively to marketing and sales management. You will be responsible for completing necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner e.g. updating customer database, expenses, etc and be responsible for achieving the competency levels required in the role. Compliance with all regulatory agencies, state, and federal law is required.

Due to expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Product Specialist / Therapeutic Specialist to be based in their offices in Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieving coverage and frequency targets and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned Dutch territory.
• Represents our client’s products and services to a defined customer base within a specific geographic area.
• This is a new role with an opportunity to make a substantial contribution to the company’s newly created affiliate in Netherlands.

Qualifications and Experience

• BA or BS degree
• Relevant selling experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Prior experience in appropriate therapeutic area highly desired
• Self-motivated
• Able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence
• Previous pharmaceutical experience is essential and relevant therapeutic working knowledge is desirable
• Proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship building skills
