Flame Pharma Sales and Marketing Jobs - Business Development Manager Job (Chemical/Agrochemical) - Germany

Flame Pharma is recruiting a Business Development Manager in Germany for the Chemical/Agrochemical division of a leading drug development organisation. This is an important and strategic role, and must demonstrate outstanding leadership and management characteristics.  This Business Development Manager will embody a strong personal character coupled with a broad business acumen and intellect, vital competencies essential to navigating complex and dynamic market conditions

The Role

  • Primary objective is driving revenue and profitability objectives and establishing market share dominance.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with existing key research clients.  Primary focus will be in chemicals and agrochemicals markets.
  • Lead by example by establishing relationships with existing and new growth clients.
  • Create a culture of competitiveness and winning.  Sets a high bar for competitive account conversions. 
  • Ability to set the strategic direction for key accounts.  Prioritize and build successful account plans.  Works to successfully plan and execute in order to achieve growth.
  • Develop a collaborative relationship with peers, marketing and other support functions.
  • Use sales metrics and reporting tools to drive new growth and enhance team performance.
  • Assess current sales alignment and territory coverage.
  • Excellent understanding of all elements of marketing and promotional mix and proactively identifies appropriate changes to meet corporate branding needs

The Person

The Business Development Manager will have a minimum life science B.A. or B.Sc coupled with extensive experience in sales, most recently able to demonstrate Chemical/Agrochemical experience of sales.  Highly developed verbal and presentation skills for personal presentations.  Experienced in complex, relationship-based strategic selling techniques.  Must have English and German language skills
